In 1998, the federal government enacted the Women’s Health and Cancer Rights Act (WHCRA). This vital legislation mandates specific coverage provisions if you are receiving benefits related to a mastectomy.

These benefits are provided subject to the standard deductibles and coinsurance of your current plan, just like any other covered illness.
